French Creek Camping

We were able to go camping with a few other families and had a great time. The weather was great, almost hot! We were able to enjoy some good food from everyone and the kids had a good time playing. Ashlyn is definitely not afraid of the dirt. While Hailey was pretty clean the entire time, Ashlyn spent the whole day getting in the dirt - digging, falling you name it! Derek also played frisby golf with a bunch of friends that went and had a good time. I am glad we are able to enjoy some time outdoors, even though camping out east is SO different than the good 'ole west.

Easter Parties

This year for Easter we enjoyed quite a few festivities. We started out on Wednesday with a little Easter party at our house for playgroup. The kids played, decorated rice crispies and made easter magnets. Hailey was able to have an Easter egg hunt for preschool on Thursday. She made a cute little bunny basket out of a paper bag and filled it to the brim. Then, Saturday we were able to take the girls in the cold rain for an egg hunt with a few families in the area. The girls had lots of fun finding eggs even though their little hands were so cold. It is fun to watch them enjoy the hunt now that they are older. We also celebrated Sunday with a super yummy Easter dinner with out babysitting group. And most importantly, we were able to hear talks at church and at home we got to talk about Christ and His resurrection... what a great weekend!
