The good life

I just read a good friend's post about having children and a video called "I would die for that" you tube it - you'll cry! Her post was amazing. It called me to remember how AMAZING my life is and how precious it is. I often think to the future of "easier" times and things I will get and do someday. I forget just how much I am living the good life right now, blessed with so many things. As I write this I am listening to my two little girls playing kitchen in the bedroom and holding my newborn son. I have an amazing husband who loves and supports our family going to school to improve himself and to provide for us. And I am reminded how blessed life truly is right now. My friend's post spoke of the trials many women go through trying to conceive and the heartache of losing and I am humbled by the blessings the Lord has given our family. These children are beautiful, wonderful, amazing, innocent, perfect, adorable and sincere reminders of God's plan and his love for us to entrust us with such priceless gifts. I am sorry for those who choose to take that gift away from themselves or others who ache for that gift. Thanks for the reminder Ali.

Cubs vs. Phillies

We were able to go to a cubs vs. Phillies games this year with our good friends, the Wehmanns. We were hailing for opposite teams and they won out :( Dang Cubs! We had a great time though and Bryce got to go to his first MLB game before his big sisters!!

A month already!

I can't believe that a month has gone by since our sweet Bryce was born. He is such a good little boy and is the perfect addition to our family. The girls still want to hold and help him all the time which keeps life interesting. He still sleeps all the time and is happy - unless he has something brewing in his little tummy. He can not stand to be uncomfortable (I guess he's like his dad - always searching for comfort). he seems like he has grown so much and seems heavier than the girls were after a month. He was born 7 lb 4 oz. and was 20 inches long. (I can't believe I forgot to put that before). I am sure he is so much bigger now. He's already filling in some sleepers that were to long and wide for him just a few weeks ago. We love our "little man" as Ashlyn affectionately calls him.

July 4th

This year for the fourth we were able to have a BBQ with some friends. We had a lot of fun in the nice weather and enjoying the park. We played some softball and had a good time. Later that night we lit fireworks on our front lawn with some of our friends. The kids had a great time in their front row seats.

More Baby!

Bryce has been such a good little sleeper. I hardly even saw his eyes the whole first week!! He is very mellow and hardly spends any time awake. He definitely loves to be held though. Every time I hold him close his eyes shut and he drifts off. The girls are loving him too. They are always wanting to hold him and Ashlyn is quick to "love" him right in his cute little face.
