Growing Up

I can not believe that my oldest is four!! I am so grateful to have this little girl. She is such a joy. She is a great helper and continues to amaze us with all her inquisitiveness. She is still enjoying preschool and remains relatively shy. While this is not so with her friends and family, she is "All quiet on the western front" with new situations. She is starting to read and will often tell me what words are as we drive past them in the car or other random places. She had enjoyed dance class but I think may be better off with another teacher other than her mother - she thinks it's funny to push my buttons in class. She still remains tinier than ever and continues to ask when she will get bigger. Hopefully she will realize it is a blessing eventually.
After coming home from our long trip in Arizona we put together a last minute party with some of her friends. She wanted to eat, play games and decorate cookies; so that is exactly what we did. The kids loved it and had a good time. I also found out that my little girl has her first crush. I had never realized it before her little party, but she has quite the affinity for her friend Brannon. They insisted on sitting by each other the entire night and he even gave her this cute little necklace which has become her prized possession. I even had to put it in my jewelry box because she was afraid it would get lost or someone else would play with it. She continues to ask to wear it for church every Sunday since. It is funny to think how time goes so quickly but I am grateful that she has such good friends.
