Zing, Zang, Zoom

Wringling Brothers came to Philadelphia last week and we were able to take the girls. Actually, none of us had ever been to a circus so it was a first for our family. We were able to get really good seats for pretty cheap so we were only a few rows back. The girls really enjoyed the animal shows - elephants, tigers and dogs. Hailey still talks about Mr. Gravity - the bad guy. The show was themed around Mr. Gravity stopping all the circus tricks with gravity. Derek and I enjoyed the feats, it's amazing what those guys can do!

Mother's Day

yummy dinner
baby 1
baby 2
baby 3 (31 wks)
This year Derek made an amazing dinner and was really helpful with the girls. He made sure to do everything he could to take care of things so I didn't have to. He and Hailey picked me out an awesome new wallet and necklace - which I proudly wore to church. He also bought me some shorts for the summer which I am excited to get into! I am grateful for a day of relaxation, but also a day to remember all the good women in my life. Being a mother is such an amazing job, I am grateful for all those I know who are good examples and teachers (and they are not all mothers yet!) What an awesome job I have to take care of beautiful children, teach them, hold them, help them and love them. I love watching them grow and hope to teach them all my Heavenly Father would have me. I LOVE being a MOM!

Preschool Graduation

This year Hailey was able to enjoy a little preschool that a friend in the ward runs. Since my child is so darn shy, I thought it would be good for her. She really did well and learned so much! To celebrate, both the three and four year old classes put on a little show with the "I am a rock star" theme. She did so good practicing her lines at home I thought maybe she would actually do it at performance time! WRONG!! She stood there silently the entire program. Oh, what to do with a shy one... It doesn't help that my sweet little thing is great at following others and the two classmates she sat next to didn't want to participate either. So, of course when we got home she sang the songs and was really happy and excited. Maybe someday she'll show her little singing skills to the world, but at least we got to see it, albeit later. I am really grateful she was able to learn so much acedemically, but more importantly socially. She has grown and continues to do so! I am grateful for her teacher Mrs. Annette and Jamie for all their hard work too. She LOVED it!
