No Pictures

The girls and I just returned from our two week family visit in Arizona. Oh, it is hard to come back from such amazing weather! We spent a lot of time visiting, playing, and my favorite, eating. i am such a sucker for a good meal, and there are so many good places in AZ that don't exist out east! Of course, I ordered our new camera in time for it to come before my trip, and it didn't... so no pictures of the fun. But now we have an awesome new camera to play with and make good use out of!

Wedded Bliss

This week Derek and I celebrated our 4th anniversary. The time has gone by so quickly and so much in our lives has changed. I am so grateful for the blessings we have received. I am grateful for the opportunity to focus on the covenants we made together and just how great he is! He is such a good husband and father. He works hard and is very smart. I appreciate his dedication to our family and the gospel, he is such a good example. I continue to look forward to all the new things to come in this life and through eternity. How awesome is eternal marriage?!?! I really get to keep him forever!

Cute Girls

I am tired of opening my blog and seeing my preggo self, so here's a far cuter picture! My silly girls, what to do with them! When they came out of the room like this all I could do was LAUGH, what kind of mother am I? As mad as I was, Derek had to take this one, I couldn't stop the giggles.

The latest

Well, not much has been going on in the Farnsworth home. This pregnancy is going quickly and I am getting bigger by the minute. This little BOY is determined to have a fat mamma. I have never wanted so many horrible foods and have never had a pregnancy where I can't really exercise (dr. order)!! Not a good combination. Everything looked great on the untrasound and he is exactly the size and weight he should be. We can't wait for him to get here!

Guy Weekend

Two weeks ago Derek was able to have 6 days of boy time, no kids or wife! They spent the long weekend at a cabin, snowboarded and all the other fun guy stuff. I am pretty sure that he owes me, but I know it was worth it, they had a great time! Derek even got a beautiful bruise on his tailbone to prove how much fun he had. Here is a picture of the inseparable crew, silly boys.

Hailey is 3!

This year we decided it was time to have some friends over to help Hailey celebrate turning 3. It is hard in the winter to come up with anything that will fit people in my house! I can't wait for the day I live somewhere big enough to invite all the friends and parents Hailey wants over. Hailey requested a castle cake, so I decided to go with it and we made little crowns for the kids that they got to put jewels on, some royal jewelry and eat pizza, cake and ice cream. Hailey had a great time with some of her friends and is really enjoying birthdays now that she really gets the concept. She keeps asking whose birthday is next. We topped the day off with the ward Paperbowl. Remember that game you used to play with a little paper football in class? Yes, that's the one, and Derek won this year. I guess it's his year for football, since he also won his Fantasy league with his friends from home.

What's a mom to do?

My dear sweet Ashlyn is very independent. I am not sure that independent even begins to explain her, but she is one who refuses to be bound by any restriction. While this has brought many a battle, including sitting in church, a high chair, being held, trying to feed her, or even cut her food, giving her a bath, and the list continues... it has also brought a battle that I was a little surprised and hopefully grateful for. My little 16 month old has decided that sleeping in a crib is not an option, too much restriction. So, about a week or so ago, mommy and daddy gave in and she got to sleep with Hailey. It was amazing, they played and giggled for a minute, but were soon fast asleep. It has been over a week now and it is still going strong. She was taking her naps in her crib, but the last three days that has been out too. She just climbs right in that bed and goes to sleep! I don't know how long it will last, but I'm hoping for good. I would have never tried doing this on my own, but I guess Miss Independent won this time, and mommy is happy to come in second.
